What’s Life?

What’s Life? That’s a question that has always been coming and going to my mind a lot of times these last years. Why does people conceive life so different? Get mad for things others love? Take different approaches to the same matters… and even worse, why do we struggle and get annoyed when this are indeed not aligned?

This matter is definitely something that has always bothered me in some sense. One of the most beautiful thing we have is that each and every one of us are unique, different on something. Yes, some are more similar to others, but they will always have something that distinct them, that puts them apart, that makes them be authentic. And yet, instead of embracing such disparities, instead of enrich with each other differences, we decide to remain with the similarities, with the singularities, with the same view into things. But… why? The first idea would be… “Well, we think the same, it just feels natural “, and yes, you would be correct, but the constant and more and more tendency to do this more and further than even before has caused an issue to the point that nowadays, we see different thoughts and opinions as an attack to our very core, like an enemy trying to make us betray our side.

Nowadays, and more and more aggressively as time progresses, whenever we share an opinion and met someone with a different one, no matter if it’s politics, lifestyle, desires, choices… the initial reaction is not to “understand” each other, to enrich one another with why each of us think differently, to the root, to the knowledge and value of understanding how each other thinks, works and moves onto the next day. Today, this clash of opinions ends up in a constant useless and rather violent conflict where each other will continuously remain tightly locked on their ideas and not even once consider what the other person is saying, it’s almost as if we, intentionally, were starting to unlearn our own capacity to listen, to adapt, to learn, to improve.
